FirstAgenda Prepare – New reading view ready to use

We are pleased to introduce the new reading view in Prepare. It has been designed to give you a better and more efficient experience when reading meeting documents and preparing for meetings – with a focus on overview, calm, and productivity.

Familiar – just better

We have been careful to keep the elements you already know: top bar, left-hand menu, search, document view, and page counter.
This means you will quickly feel at home in the new reading view, while benefiting from a range of improvements that make your work easier and more efficient. In practice, this means faster overview, easier preparation, and time savings.

More space for what matters

With the new layout, you get significantly more space for reading your documents. We have optimised the use of screen real estate so you can focus on the content without distractions. The improved design provides a lighter, more readable interface that makes it easier to navigate even large and complex meeting documents.

New tools panel on the right-hand side

A new tools panel now brings your key functions together in one place:

  • Personal notes – quick access, can be shown next to the document and used as speaking notes

  • Shared comments – easy access to comment threads, can be shown alongside the document, still with the option to use groups

  • Highlights/markings – work as today, with the familiar editing bar at the bottom

  • Decisions – now collected in the tools panel, so decisions can be registered without losing the overview (applies to manual meetings only)

  • Information box – a new box showing relevant information about the item from your ESDH system, for example case handler, case number or absences (only if this data is available from ESDH)

Additional practical improvements

  • The new reading view is optimised for:

    • Desktop – maximum space for documents and tools

    • Smartphone – good readability and preparation on the go

    • Tablet – layout that makes optimal use of the screen

  • You also get:

    • Clickable links in documents

    • Easy copying of text

    • Highlighting of search terms in the document

    • WCAG-compliant design for improved accessibility

Please note

The Prepare iPad app does not yet include these updates to the new reading view. You can currently only see and use the improvements when accessing Prepare via a browser.

We are working to bring these improvements to the iPad app as well, so that the experience becomes as consistent as possible across devices.
